About Roadway Assist

What is Roadway Assist?

Roadway Assist is a UK-wide mobile tyre fitting, vehicle recovery and battery jump-start service. We come to you: home, work, roadside, motorway, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. No membership needed. You pay per job.

Are you AA or RAC?

No. We are an independent mobile service, not a breakdown cover provider. You do not need a membership or annual fee. Call when you need us, pay only for the job.

Are you a real company?

Yes. Roadway Assist Ltd is registered at Companies House in England and Wales (Co. No. 16988542). We are fully insured, our fitters are DVSA-certified, and we have over 1,200 verified five-star reviews.

How long have you been operating?

Roadway Assist has been operating since 2024 and has completed over 10,000 jobs across 16 UK counties.

Who owns Roadway Assist?

Roadway Assist Ltd is privately owned. It was founded to fill the gap between slow national breakdown services and unreliable budget mobile fitters.

What makes you different from AA, RAC, or Green Flag?

Three things: no membership required (pay per job), faster response times (18 minutes average for tyre vs 60-90 for national services), and a real person answers every call, not an automated menu.

Why are you not the cheapest option?

Because we do not cut corners. We supply new premium brand tyres only, not part-worns. We use proper flatbed recovery for prestige vehicles. If you want the absolute cheapest option, we are not it. If you want quality service that shows up, we are.

02

Pricing and Deposits

How much does mobile tyre fitting cost?

Most fittings cost £100 to £220 fitted, depending on tyre size, brand, and vehicle. Premium tyres for SUVs and prestige cars can be £250 to £500. We give you a fixed price before the fitter is dispatched.

How much does vehicle recovery cost?

Recovery jobs typically range from £130 to £400 depending on distance, vehicle type, and accessibility. Local recovery under 10 miles is usually £130 to £180. Longer distances and commercial vehicles are quoted individually.

How much does battery jump start cost?

Typically £80 to £100, depending on location and time of day. Fixed price quoted before dispatch.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No call-out fee. The price you are quoted is the total job cost. If we cannot complete the job, you do not pay and your deposit is refunded.

Why do you require a deposit?

The deposit confirms the booking and covers our dispatch cost. It protects both sides: you know we are committed to arriving, we know the job is genuine. Deposits are typically £20 to £100 depending on job value.

Is the deposit refunded if you cannot complete the job?

Yes. If we arrive and genuinely cannot complete the job (e.g. wrong tyre size, vehicle inaccessible), the deposit is refunded in full.

Can I pay by card at the roadside?

Yes. Our fitters and drivers accept card payments at the job. Cash and bank transfer are also accepted. The deposit is paid upfront via card or bank transfer to confirm dispatch.

Is the quoted price guaranteed?

Yes. The fixed price quoted before dispatch is what you pay on completion. No surprise charges, parts costs, or call-out fees added at the end.

Are there any extra fees?

No hidden fees. The quoted price includes the tyre (or service), fitting, valve, balance, and disposal. For recovery, the quote includes the journey to your specified destination.

03

Booking and Response Times

How quickly can you reach me?

Our average response time is 18 minutes for tyre fitting and 30 minutes for vehicle recovery. Times vary by location and time of day. We give you an exact ETA before we dispatch.

Do I need to book in advance?

No. Most jobs are dispatched within minutes of the call. You can also book in advance if you prefer, for example a tyre swap planned for Saturday morning.

How do I book?

Call 07782 622388, WhatsApp 07832 351406, or email support@roadwayassist.uk. For urgent jobs, call. It is the fastest channel. For quotes with photos, WhatsApp works well.

What information do I need when I call?

Your postcode, vehicle make and model, and the problem (e.g. flat front passenger tyre). For tyre jobs, the tyre size from your existing sidewall helps. For recovery, your location and where you need to go.

Can I get a quote without booking?

Yes. Call or WhatsApp with your details and we will give you a fixed quote. You are under no obligation to book.

Are you open 24 hours a day?

Yes. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Christmas Day, New Year, bank holidays. We never close.

Do you operate on Sundays?

Yes. Sunday is one of our busiest days. We are fully staffed every Sunday across all service areas.

Can I book for next week?

Yes. We can schedule jobs in advance for any day or time. Same-call dispatch is our default, but advance bookings work fine.

Can I cancel after booking?

Yes, but timing matters. If you cancel before dispatch, your deposit is refunded. Once the fitter is on the way, the deposit covers the dispatch cost and is not refundable.

05

Mobile Tyre Fitting

What kind of tyres do you fit?

We supply and fit premium brand tyres including Continental, Michelin, Pirelli, Bridgestone, Goodyear, Hankook, and Dunlop. We do not fit part-worn, used, or budget unbranded tyres.

Why do you not fit part-worn tyres?

Part-worn tyres are inconsistent in safety and reliability. We have built our reputation on quality, and that means new tyres only. If you want part-worns, a local garage will be a better fit.

Can you fit run-flat tyres?

Yes. Our fitters are run-flat certified and carry the right equipment. We work on BMW, Mini, Mercedes, Audi, and other vehicles with run-flat systems.

Can you fit tyres on a Tesla or electric vehicle?

Yes. We work on Tesla Model S, 3, X, Y, Polestar, BMW i-series, Mercedes EQ, VW ID, Hyundai Ioniq, Kia EV, and other EVs. Our fitters know correct jacking points and TPMS handling.

How long does a tyre fitting take?

A single tyre typically takes 20 to 35 minutes from arrival. Two tyres take 30 to 50 minutes. Four tyres take 90 minutes to 2 hours.

Can you come to my home or workplace?

Yes. Home and workplace fitting are our most common services. We come to your driveway, office car park, or depot. You do not need to go anywhere.

Do you balance the tyre when you fit it?

Yes. Wheel balancing is included as standard. The quoted price includes balance, valve, and disposal of the old tyre.

Can you fit 4 tyres at once?

Yes. We regularly fit full sets at home, work, or any convenient location. Four tyres takes approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours.

Do you do puncture repairs?

No. We focus on full tyre replacement. For puncture repair, a local garage will be more cost-effective.

What if the tyre size does not match what I told you?

The fitter will tell you on arrival. We will source the correct tyre and return, or refund your deposit. You will not be charged for the wrong tyre.

06

Vehicle Recovery

What vehicles can you recover?

Cars, vans, motorcycles, 4x4s, and commercial vehicles up to 18 tonne. We have standard tow trucks and flatbed recovery for damage-free transport of prestige and low-clearance vehicles.

Can you recover an electric vehicle?

Yes. EV recovery requires flatbed transport: towing most EVs on their wheels risks drivetrain damage. We use flatbed for all EV recoveries.

Can you recover a vehicle from a motorway?

Yes. Motorway recovery is available 24 hours a day. Stay in your vehicle if safe, call us, and tell us your motorway, direction, and nearest junction.

How far can you tow my vehicle?

Anywhere in the UK. Most recoveries are local (under 30 miles) but we regularly do longer journeys including airport transfers and inter-county moves.

Will my car be damaged during recovery?

No. We use damage-free techniques as standard. For prestige, low-clearance, or EVs we use flatbed which fully supports the vehicle with no ground contact.

Can you recover a vehicle with no wheels or a flat tyre?

Yes. Flatbed handles vehicles with flat tyres, missing wheels, locked wheels, or seized brakes. The vehicle is winched onto the flatbed.

Can I sit in my car while it is being towed?

No. UK law requires passengers to travel in the cab of the recovery vehicle, not in the towed vehicle. Our vehicles typically seat 1 to 2 passengers.

Can you take my car to a specific garage?

Yes. Tell us the destination and we will deliver it there. The garage does not need to be open, we can deliver overnight if needed.

Can you recover a motorcycle?

Yes. We use specialist motorcycle recovery transport, strapped properly, no damage to fairings, exhausts, or paintwork.

Can you recover a commercial van or HGV?

Yes. We have HGV recovery capability up to 18 tonne. Commercial recovery available 24 hours a day with fleet rates for trade customers.

07

Battery Jump Start

What does a battery jump start cost?

Typically £80 to £100, depending on location and time of day. Fixed price quoted before dispatch.

How long does a jump start take?

The actual jump takes 5 to 10 minutes once we arrive. Total job from call to completion is usually under 45 minutes.

Will a jump start fix my battery permanently?

A jump start gets you moving. If your battery cannot hold charge it needs replacement. We can advise on whether it is failing and recommend a replacement if needed.

Can you replace my car battery on-site?

Yes, on request. If your battery is dead and needs replacement, we can supply and fit a new one at your location.

Do you do jump starts on electric vehicles?

Yes, but EV jump start targets the 12V auxiliary battery, not the main drive battery. We cannot charge the main EV drive battery.

Can you jump start a van or commercial vehicle?

Yes. We carry professional equipment suitable for cars, vans, and small commercial vehicles. For HGVs, call us to confirm.

What if my car will not start after a jump?

If the engine will not start even with a jump, the issue is not just the battery, it could be the starter motor, alternator, or another fault. We will advise on next steps.

08

Prestige and Electric Vehicles

Do you work on Tesla?

Yes. We work on Model S, 3, X, and Y using Tesla-correct jacking points, proper TPMS handling, and approved tyres.

Do you fit tyres on BMW?

Yes. All BMW models including M-series. Run-flat certified for vehicles with run-flat technology.

Do you fit tyres on Mercedes?

Yes. All Mercedes models including AMG. Manufacturer-spec tyres and correct torque settings as standard.

Do you work on Audi?

Yes. All Audi models including RS performance vehicles. Run-flat capable, correct torque settings, manufacturer-spec tyres.

Do you do tyres on Porsche?

Yes. Porsche tyre fitting requires correct torque settings, valve-spec matching, and manufacturer-approved tyres. We handle all of this as standard.

Do you work on Range Rover?

Yes. Range Rover tyre fitting and recovery, including damage-free flatbed for all prestige Land Rover models.

Why is flatbed recovery important for prestige vehicles?

Standard tow trucks lift one end, which can damage AWD drivetrains, scrape low front spoilers, or stress the chassis. Flatbed loads the entire vehicle flat, no damage, no stress.

Do you understand TPMS sensors?

Yes. Modern vehicles with TPMS need correct handling during tyre fitting to avoid damaging or losing the sensor. Our fitters are trained on TPMS reset and sensor preservation.
